Meanwhile, President Syngman Rhee meets with General Taylor and Admiral Radford; a conference aimed at ending the South Korean resistance to an armistice, that took on menacing proportions as Rhee personally ordered thousands of anti-Red prisoners freed in outright defiance of United Nation's authority. CORONATION FLEET REVIEW ENGLAND - Queen Elizabeth reviews the greatest peacetime fleet ever assembled, 1,000 ships from 22 nations including Russia, massed in dress formation in honor of the newly-crowned monarch. SWIM QUEENS NEW JERSEY - Swimming queens parade the pulchritude to publicize National Swim for Health Week. The judges are all at sea trying to pick the winner of National Swim for Health Queen. TRIUMPHAL WELCOME AS BRAVES RETURN MILWAUKEE - As the Braves return from the road leading the league, they get a hero's ovation from their new home town and a gala parade with cheering thousands lining the route. ROME HONORS TYRONE POWER ITALY - The Eternal City greets Tyrone Power and a party of motion picture executives. To mark the occasion, a specially minted medallion is presented to the actor. GOVERNOR HONORS FILM EXECUTIVE COLORADO - Denver's Governor Dan Thornton presents a special citation to Mayer H. Monsky, branch manager of the Universal Film Exchange, and designates August as 'Mayer H. Monsky Month', for his contributions to the state's industrial development. Tyrone Edmund Power III (May 5, 1914 – November 15, 1958) was an American actor. From the 1930s to the 1950s, Power appeared in dozens of films, often in swashbuckler roles or romantic leads. His better-known films include The Mark of Zorro, Marie Antoinette, Blood and Sand, The Black Swan, Prince of Foxes, Witness for the Prosecution, The Black Rose, and Captain from Castile.
